Our students and staff purchase food from our restaurant using a cashless system. This allows your child
to use an account that you have already put money into, removing the need for students to carry money.
The system employs biometric technology providing us with an efficient and fast service which increases
security, reduces queuing times and makes ‘anonymous’ those students who receive Free School Meals.
Both our cashless catering and library systems use biometrics so that students can access these services.
This is a secure and reliable system based on fingerprint recognition, although no actual fingerprint
images are stored.
ParentPay is a proven, secure payment system used by our parents and staff. You can credit your child’s
account online.
As well as enabling you to pay online for your child’s school meals, you can also use your ParentPay
account to make other payments, for example school trips. You will also be able to see the balance of
your child’s account and what money has been spent – even what your child bought for lunch!
You will receive a letter from us with details of how to create your account in ParentPay prior to the start
of school in September. By crediting cash to your child’s account before their first day at Matthew Arnold
School, your child will be able to buy items from the restaurant immediately.
