Absence
There is a clear link between students’ achievement and their level of attendance at school. We want all the students to achieve the very best they can and for this they need to be in school regularly.
Students should arrive at school by 8.40am in time for registration.
Please report your child’s absence from school by 9.10am via text to:

When you text to inform us that your child is absent from school, please give us the following details:
- Full name of student, tutor group and the reason for absence
- If unwell, symptoms/illness
- If an appointment, state type of appointment (e.g. dentist, optician), date and timings of when your child will be out of school.
- Absences are to be reported on a daily basis
- Please ensure the school have your current mobile number
Please note that the mobile number above only accepts texts and not voicemails. This number should only be used for messages relating to absence.
